October is cybersecurity awareness month. With 20 years of actual recognition, cybersecurity is spotlighted in October annually, but many businesses and individuals keep it front and center throughout the year. Heartland Bank does just that, and its Information and Security Manager Austin Hohl is admittedly behind the increased oversight.

Over the past 26 years, Heartland Bank has been committed to giving back to the communities where the associates live and work. Starting with the founder, Tiney McComb, the bank continues a time-honored tradition of an annual Central Ohio golf outing, and now a second annual outing hosted in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky service area, to enable the awarding of monetary grants to deserving community organizations.
