What started out as an effort to help a few local children’s charities in 1996 has blossomed into a full-fledged annual fundraising event that has been gaining momentum in each of the last 18 years. Since that first golf outing in 1996, when the Bank made a small donation to the Licking County 4H Horse Council to last year when six local charities selected by the Bank collected a total of $30,000, Heartland has made benevolent donations of almost $375,000. Former recipients of funds from the Charity Golf Classic include Big Brother & Sisters of Central Ohio, Ronald McDonald House, March of Dimes, the Buckeye Ranch Foundation and Junior Achievement, among many others.

In 2005, Heartland Bank opened an office at Friendship Village of Dublin, a local retirement community built on quality, stability and attention to detail. Eleven years later, we’re still proud to be a part of the Friendship Village family. In addition to Heartland Banker, Carol Mayo, who oversees the daily operations from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., there is an ATM machine in the lobby of the facility.

In the fall of 2013, Heartland Bank cemented a ‘preferred banking partner’ relationship with the Columbus Crew SC. When then-president Mark McCullers announced the agreement, he said ‘This partnership is a great opportunity for the Crew to support a like-minded and locally based community asset.’ Like minded? Heartland Bank thrives on building strong local relationships. Locally based community asset? We’ve been in business since 1911 and with 13 locations in central Ohio, we’ve established a tradition of service to local communities.
