With success, there’s gratitude. With prosperity, there’s appreciation. With all of these, there’s thankfulness – for past success, present prosperity and future accomplishments. Heartland Bank ends 2019 on a thankful note with abounding accolades to the associates, clients and communities it serves.

With perfect weather in the forecast for the 22^nd Annual Heartland Bank Charity Golf Classic, all 31 teams appreciated the clear skies, temps in the low 80s and exceptional course conditions. Last year was the first year the outing had to be rescheduled due to weather, and with hurricane Dorian threatening the United States the first week of September, vague memories of downpours and soggy fairways loomed over the committee’s planning activities. All weather crises were averted, and the golf outing was, once again, a success!

Participation began with a joint cause. On one hand, it was a simple idea for a wellness opportunity for Heartland Bank employees. On the other hand, sponsoring the team, affectionately named Tiney’s Team, became a way to honor the founder of Heartland Bank, Tiney McComb, who lost his battle with cancer in 2012.

In September of 2018, Heartland BancCorp purchased TransCounty Title Agency from its owner, Patrick John. Patrick founded TransCounty in 2007. He continues to oversee the operations of TransCounty along with the Heartland Team, and he is excited about the future with this new partnership. Heartland welcomes TransCounty as a valuable resource for continued customer commitment.

On February 5^th, Heartland Bank held an Economic Power Breakfast at its Whitehall location and a 2019 Economic Forum luncheon at the Grand Event Center at Grandview Yard. Two events, back-to-back, provided for nearly five hours of intense market analysis with a bit of discussion on building rural prosperity.
