In the fall of 2013, Heartland Bank cemented a ‘preferred banking partner’ relationship with the Columbus Crew SC. When then-president Mark McCullers announced the agreement, he said ‘This partnership is a great opportunity for the Crew to support a like-minded and locally based community asset.’ Like minded? Since that announcement, Heartland Bank has enjoyed a special relationship with the club. We’ve proudly celebrated ‘Heartland Bank Day’ at several Crew matches, where President and CEO Scott McComb invited employees and their families to pre-match tailgate gatherings and also celebrated several ‘Crew Days’ at Heartland Bank during last season’s march to the playoffs. Branch offices were decorated with black and gold balloons, a life-size Wil Trapp cutout welcomed clients visiting the offices and employees proudly sported their Crew SC gear.
During Crew SC matches, you’ll find Heartland employees cheering the team on from Suite #123. Sometimes, we’re even honored by visits from Crew Cat, brand ambassador Frankie Hejduk or even owner Anthony Precourt. Visitors will see both our scrolling ad on the field level LED board and the concourse sign on the west side of MAPFRE stadium.
