UA Welcomes Heartland Bank

Tuesday, May 1, 2018/Categories: Heartland Bank

Heartland Bank is growing, and we couldn’t be prouder to announce our 16th location – Upper Arlington! With a prime spot anchoring Lane Avenue and Northwest Boulevard, Heartland plans a corner friendly, two-story, brownstone-reminiscent exterior with architectural presence and unique style. The ground floor will house our branch location and our Heartland Planning Associates team will occupy the second story space of this building.

As Heartland has been committed to increasing its Central Ohio footprint over the last several years, the quaint community of Upper Arlington, positioned just northwest of downtown Columbus, was a natural choice. With easy access from The Ohio State University, Grandview Heights, Short North and downtown, this Heartland Bank branch will offer 6,400-square-feet of top-notch technology in combination with a modern interior design splashed with a hint of the rustic roots of Heartland’s past.

According to the mayor of Upper Arlington, Kip Greenhill, “It is good to see this development here. Really, this is our main corridor and we want to have people here that will bring people here.” The space was previously occupied by a lawn mover repair shop within an old Sunoco station that was no longer providing fuel to customers. The groundbreaking was held April 26, 2018, and the site has been prepared for building to begin soon.

“It is an awesome community and I can’t tell you how proud we are to be here,” remarked Scott McComb, President and CEO of Heartland Bank, as he addressed the crowd at the groundbreaking event. “No ask is too big, no ask is too small,” promised Scott as he continued to thank the local dignitaries for the opportunity to invest in their corner of Columbus. Heartland believes in being the difference makers in the communities we serve, and we stand behind our commitment to serve the business client, the retired individuals and the young adults following their parents lead to establish a banking relationship.

“First impressions are lasting impressions,” added Kip in some closing remarks to the crowd. He reiterated that Heartland will be part of the gateway to Upper Arlington, additionally helping to kick-off the redevelopment that is happening in their neighborhood.

If you’re not a Heartland customer, but you might want to be, or you just want to check out our new digs, look for us in Upper Arlington in early 2019!
