SEE YOU AT THE FAIR!

SEE YOU AT THE FAIR!

Tuesday, August 1, 2023/Categories: Home Page Story

It’s fair season! Heartland’s Agribusiness bankers look forward to this season each year as it allows them to get out and about in the communities, check in on clients and build new relationships within their agribusiness networks. The outdoors and fair fields are like home to them, and they look forward to valuable conversations as they make their way from event to event.

On August 2nd, Heartland bankers will lend their service skills at the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association Steak Barn at the Ohio State Fair. Each year, volunteers from the Heartland Agribusiness and Credit team join forces to help serve beef selections to fairgoers. It’s a steamy time of year in Ohio, but the teams are up for the challenge and don’t mind enjoying all those new fried fair food variations on their trek in and out from the Steak Barn.

The Hartford Fair is the next event for not only the Agribusiness team, but also the bank in general. Held August 6-12 at the Hartford Fairgrounds in Croton, Ohio, this “Biggest Little Fair in the World” captures the hearts of Heartland bankers as Croton is the location of the very first Heartland Bank branch. Heartland Bank Day is Tuesday, August 8. You’ll find a booth for Heartland down from the grandstands with bankers ready to answer your questions and share Heartland giveaways. Heartland also proudly supports local farm families at the 4H and FFA Hartford junior exhibitor’s livestock auction each year, and also sponsored/donated to two pigs for a 4-H student at the Clermont County Fair.

Cultivating a Cure is August 13th. Supporting cancer treatment and prevention research since 2011, this year the event is being held at a greenhouse and farm in Medina, Ohio, for The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute. The agricultural community proudly assembles for this event to show their support for this worthy cause. Several Heartland Agribusiness bankers will be in attendance to lend their support and contribute to the camaraderie.

The next event of the summer for the Heartland Agribusiness team is the Ohio 4-H Celebration of Youth on September 14th. Sponsored by the Ohio 4-H Foundation, this gathering of community members focuses on support of the 4-H youth across Ohio. Heartland’s bankers share an evening of food, fellowship and fun while networking with other individuals devoted to the agricultural industry. Relationship building is key for Agribusiness as farms and farm families can often be miles away from the closest bank branch location.

The season ends with the Farm Science Review held at the Molly Caren Agricultural Center on September 19-21. This event is a popular agricultural and environmental science display that shares techniques, demonstrations and products while showcasing brands, businesses and education. Attendees mingle, view product and field exhibitions, and visit the various booths with agricultural significance. Heartland Bank is represented and customarily offers an enter-to-win prize that has been very popular in the past! The Heartland Bank balloon also makes an appearance, flying over the crowd as visitors to the Heartland booth are enticed to challenge a banker to a game of cornhole.

It’s a perfect time of year in Ohio to be out and about in the fields and farms that make this state truly exceptional – our Agribusiness bankers count their blessings daily as this is part of their lives!
