Let’s meet Lesley!

Heartland associates – whether new, seasoned or lifers – have one very poignant, common belief…their bank cannot be described without using the word “community.” Community awareness, community participation and community dedication are all part of the fabric that makes the bank strong, viable and sound. Lesley Rahschulte, mortgage loan originator at Heartland since 2020, shares this sentiment and realizes it also strengthens the Heartland family.

“The bank was originally founded in a small farming community, and then in 1988, it became Heartland Bank, which is the same year I graduated from high school,” said Lesley. “Heartland Bank truly cares about its clients and its community. My goal at the bank is to become a trusted resource for my banking colleagues and a trusted partner in the community.” Associates at Heartland are proud that their bank is so widely represented in the communities via sponsorships, the Heartland Bank Community Foundation and volunteer events that the associates are encouraged to attend.

These acts of kindness are clear examples of how Heartland’s associates think outside of the box in relation to their actual positions. Associates are encouraged to provide quality and excellence in every task, encounter and conversation with clients and team members. “Quality and excellence mean going above and beyond just your job. Providing excellent customer service and always being honest, loyal and having integrity,” admitted Lesley.

As a mortgage loan originator, Lesley is responsible for helping current and new clients realize their dream of homeownership. Utilizing her relationships with agents and builders in Northern Kentucky, she is dedicated to providing the best experience possible and building a partnership that will be beneficial down the road.

According to Manager of Residential Origination John Kenkel, “Lesley is an invaluable member of the Heartland family. While also being extremely knowledgeable and hard-working, it’s her dedication to her clients that truly stands out and makes her one of a kind. We are lucky to have her on our team.”

Lesley is committed to her clients, and her extra sense of commitment is evident in her advice for new associates at the bank. “Anything worth doing is not always easy, but you will succeed by getting out of your comfort zone.” She has pushed past her comfort zone and succeeded. In her three years at Heartland, Lesley has earned an officer promotion, the Quality and Excellence Award voted on by her peers and two Circle of Champions awards.

Growing up and going to college in Kentucky, Lesley currently calls Williamstown, Kentucky, her home. She proudly adds that this is also the home of the Ark Encounter.  She is an eighteen-year affiliate of the Northern Kentucky Association of Realtors Affiliate Council along with being named their 2021 Affiliate of the Year. Lesley is also a Grant County Chamber of Commerce ambassador and their 2022 Ambassador of the Year. Lesley’s free time includes hunting with her husband, clogging with the Hills of Kentucky Cloggers and just spending time with friends and family…doing anything outdoors!

Heartland Bank values associates like Lesley that are committed to their communities and their families. If you’d like to experience the community banking difference, either as a client or an associate, stop in at any of our 20 locations and let the Heartland family welcome you with open arms!
