Getting to Know Greg Little…

Getting to Know Greg Little…

Thursday, March 30, 2023/Categories: Employee Spotlight

In April of 2020, Heartland Bank completed a merger with Victory Community Bank. Greg Little was an associate at Victory, and he made the transition to Heartland retaining his previous position and duties. Currently, he is based at the Ft. Mitchell branch, and is proud to be part of a team of experienced and eager Heartland professionals.

“I was handling loan servicing at Victory Community Bank at the time that Heartland acquired it. I have continued in that area to this day. I am currently the Residential Loan Servicing Manager. I have a great team of people to work with.  We handle the processing of real estate tax and homeowners’ insurance payments. We make corrections as needed for payments. We handle payoff requests and transactions.  My team is responsible for the timely release of liens, we set up automatic payments and perform many other duties that ensure the smooth operation of loan activities after the closing has occurred.”

Greg’s financial career dates back nearly 42 years. “My first bank job was at a bank in Cincinnati in 1981 where I removed staples from documents to be scanned to microfiche. I have worked at several small community banks in the Cincinnati area. I have had several positions including teller, branch manager, secondary marketing, loan officer and loan servicing manager.”

During his time at Heartland, Greg has felt the impact that his efforts have made, and he is quick to show his gratitude for a team that has made the transition to a new company accommodating and successful. “The Residential Loan Servicing area has come a long way in the past few years, and we have made incredible improvements to consistently provide exceptional value and service to our clients. We pride ourselves in being responsive to client and stakeholder questions and concerns. I am most proud of the Loan Servicing team and the way they work together to achieve results. The people I work with are tremendous, and I am very proud to be part of this team!”

Greg works daily to identify areas of opportunity to enhance the client experience. His concentration often centers on his team’s ability to resolve issues and handle concerns. Greg is an advocate for using the latest technology and best practices to achieve goals of this type. He adamantly believes in taking care of the client…making sure requests and transactions are 100% accurate and done with alacrity.

Above all, Greg is honest and true to his work ethic. When asked what he would share about Heartland with his clients, he said, “We are just like you. We work hard. We face challenges. We care about our responsibilities and our co-workers and about you. We want things done correctly and quickly, and we work every day to achieve those goals.”

Growing up on the west side of Cincinnati, Greg attended Elder High School and the University of Cincinnati. He currently lives in Miami, Ohio, and is married with 2 adult daughters, a son and a “very demanding cat.” When not spending time with his family, Greg enjoys participating in walks, playing golf and frisbee golf and flying drones. He recently served on the board of directors of the Tri-state League of Financial Institutions

Working with bankers like Greg is what makes community banking appealing to many consumers looking for a financial partner. Heartland has 19 full-service locations to serve you – and more than 250 bankers working to make your experience the best it can be!
