Making the Move to .BANK

Monday, July 31, 2017/Categories: Website

After several exciting months of researching and planning, Heartland Bank is delighted to announce the launch of our new website, Heartland.Bank.   In order to better protect and serve you, this new site provides a domain extension that allows Heartland Bank to forge a more trusted, verified, secure and easily identifiable internet position to manage your banking business.  The .BANK environment is exclusive to the banking industry and provides a degree of safety that other commercial domains, like .com, do not.

Adopting the .BANK domain is considered a "best practice" by the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) and furthers the bank's initiatives to stay in front of cybercrime and risks associated with data security. "Cyber security is one of the biggest risks in our business and we will continue to allocate significant resources in this area," said Scott McComb, CEO of Heartland Bank.   "Helping clients manage risk is our charge as a community bank, and cyber security is no different than any other traditional risk."

In addition to the migration to the .BANK domain extension, visitors will find a new website that enriches the user experience with a range of improvements that include simplified navigation and enhanced functionality, as well as a significant upgrade to our site's content.

Here's a quick look at the website features you'll find on the new Heartland.Bank:

  • Modern layout, vibrant colors and crisp new design

  • Adaptable to a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop, our new and improved website will fit your screen of choice

  • Secure dropdown menu on homepage provides the ability to log in to not only Online Banking, but Credit Cards, uChoose Rewards, Wealth Management and Business Remote Deposit

  • Alert bar provides an expandable area to notify visitors about recent upgrades to services, data breaches or other time-sensitive messages

  • Quick Links at the bottom of our home page to identify many frequently asked questions - Lost or Stolen Cards, Holiday Schedule, Travel Notifications, How to Reorder Checks and more

  • Video tutorials for our Online Banking tools and options

  • Scrolling bar on every page provides visitors the opportunity to Find a Location, Click to Call or Contact Us via a standard workflow notification form

  • Customer Support page features Account Support, Online Banking Support, Card Support, and Customer Resources sections

  • Meet the Team sections to allow you to put a face with a name

  • Expanded Financial Planning, Mortgage, Commercial Lending, Treasury Management, Careers and FAQ sections

  • Easy surfing - scroll quickly through the easy to navigate drop down menus and section landing pages

The migration to the new domain will be seamless for website visitors, but we do recommend that you create a new bookmark to www.Heartland.Bank in order to quickly and efficiently gain access to our website.  The new website will not affect Online Banking, aside from the new location and look of the Online Banking Login Box.
