Overdraft Protection is offered to assist with payment of items from your account when you just don't have quite enough funds available to pay the item(s). We understand life happens, and we're here to help! Click here to learn more about Overdraft Protection.

In order to receive Overdraft Protection for all items, you must affirmatively “opt-in” to authorize us to consider payment of overdraft(s) on your ATM and everyday debit card transaction(s). To “opt-in” to Overdraft Protection: 

  • Ensure that your account is not a Health Savings (HSA) or business account (non-personal) as these are not eligible for this protection
  • Complete the form attached below, or
  • Speak to a Client Services representative at 800-697-0049, or
  • You may also send a written request, including your name, address, date of request, and account number(s) to us at info@heartland.bank.

You may revoke your “opt-in” at any time via any of the methods above.
