After you've enrolled in Mobile Banking, you can safely access all your accounts using your smartphone, tablet, or iPad with our Mobile App, downloadable for free from Google Play or the Apple App Store.  Not enrolled in Mobile Banking yet?  It's easy - simply log into Online Banking, select the Mobile tab, read and accept the disclaimer and fill in the requested Mobile Banking credentials.  Click Enroll and you'll be given immediate access to the Mobile App.

SMS Texting

The mobile banking option for those who love to text!

Is texting your thing, or maybe you just can’t make the switch to a smartphone? Heartland’s still got you covered!

  • Send a text message (Short Message Service or SMS) to request information about your balances and recent transactions
  • You’ll receive a text message reply with your most up-to-date account details

SMS Texting Guide

MS texting requires each account in Online Banking to have a nickname. When creating nicknames, use only alpha and numeric characters.

Text commands to 469228

SMS texting format = COMMAND(space)<Account Nickname> (Example: BAL Main)

COMMAND = SMS message action identifier







List of all account nicknames & balances

BALANCE <nickname>

BAL <nickname>

B <nickname>

Balance on specified account

DETAILS <nickname>

Details for a specified account includes: Masked account number; nickname; balance; type

STATEMENT <nickname>

HISTORY <nickname>

Last 4 account transactions

XFER <amount> FROM <nickname> TO <nickname>

Transfer funds FROM one account TO another account
