About our guest speaker:

Teri E. Ruslander
Elder Services Coordinator
Grove City Division of Police

 

Teri is currently the Elder Services Coordinator tasked with assisting the elderly in the community who have been a victim of a crime or need assistance with resources for everyday living. She retired from the Grove City Division of Police after 33 years, spending the last 24 years as a detective. She also has experience investigating financial crimes.



Teri serves on the Board of Directors of Ohio Coalition of Adult Protective Services (OCAPS) and is a member of the Ohio Attorney General’s Elder Abuse Commission. She has a BA from The Ohio State University in criminology and criminal justice. Teri is OPOTA certified as a Master Criminal Investigator and a Master Evidence Tech. She has been an adjunct instructor at Ohio University since 2002 teaching numerous classes as part of the Law Enforcement Technology Degree. Teri has trained individuals on Elder Abuse for OPOTA, the Franklin County Prosecutor’s office, Ohio Attorney General Office conferences, other law enforcement departments, WEAAD conferences, APS trainings, APS I-Teams and other conferences.
