What can I expect when logging in to the new system for the first time?

  • Upgrade your browser to Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge or Safari as soon as possible.  Microsoft recommends that you no longer use Internet Explorer to access the web.
  • When you log in to the new system on Wednesday, March 11, you will use your existing Login ID credentials.
  • At first log in, you will be prompted to establish a new password.
  • At first log in, you will be required to enter a Secure Access Code that you will receive immediately via your choice of email, phone call or text message. Follow the onscreen instructions to proceed.

What do I need to know about Bill Pay?

  • Through 11:59 p.m. on March 3, 2020, pay your bills and schedule for future payments as you normally would.  Be sure to pre-schedule anything that needs to be paid March 3 - March 10 as the Bill Pay system will be unavailable due to data navigation and conversion maintenance.  We have systems in place to help ensure that any bill payments you have pre-scheduled to post during this timeframe will be paid on schedule.  Please be assured that all current payees will migrate to the new Bill Pay system.
  • If you currently use Heartland's eBill (bill presentment) feature, you will need to re-enroll those payees in the new Bill Pay system.  From your dashboard in the new Online Banking, click the Payments tab and then Pay Bills.  Any of your bill payees that are eligible for eBill will appear in the upper right hand corner in the eBill Connect section.  Follow the onscreen instructions to proceed.
  • Our current Popmoney person to person payment system is being replaced with a new system called Pay a Friend.  All Popmoney payees will need to be reestablished in either Bill Pay or the Pay a Friend service.  From your dashboard in the new Online Banking system, look for the Payments tab in the left side menu, click to expand and click on Pay a Friend.  Follow the onscreen instructions to proceed.

What about the Mobile App?

  • If you access Online Banking and Bill Pay through our mobile app and aren't enrolled in automatic updates, you'll need to manually update the Heartland Bank Mobile App to enjoy all the new features.
