This Month's Employee Spotlight is Becky Samson!

Rebecca Samson (Becky to her co-workers) is our Employee Spotlight for this month as we honor one of our valuable behind-the-scenes individuals in our accounting department. Becky is an Accountant with Heartland who earned her Assistant Administrative Officer title in May of 2011 and the Quality and Excellence Award in 2007. She also completed Principles of Banking in 2006. According to our CFO, Carrie Almendinger, “Becky is an example of integrity, reliability, and devotion. I have worked with her for 12 years and I am always impressed by her detail oriented nature.”

Now Open in Clintonville

After opening a new branch in Hilliard mid-year 2016, Heartland Bank wasted no time reserving our next spot in the trendy community of Clintonville. Opening on October 3rd and located at 4476 North High Street, this branch offers easy access, a modern open space with comfortable alcoves, and a dog bowl at the front door welcoming our four-legged friends as they pass by on sidewalk strolls throughout the day.

Special Visitors to Burton Metal Finishing

Just over two years ago, we celebrated with our customer, Burton Metal Finishing, as they held their grand reopening after a devastating fire. Our solid relationship grew even deeper as we assisted the company from a state of destruction to a state of revival.

Recently, several Heartland employees, along with U. S. Senator Rob Portman and head of the U.S. Small Business Administration, Linda McMahon, toured the relatively new facility and observed the restored operations, coming about with the help of Heartland Bank and the SBA.

20th Annual Heartland Bank Charity Golf Classic

20th Annual Heartland Bank Charity Golf Classic

What started out as an effort to help a few local children’s charities in 1996 has blossomed into a full-fledged annual fundraising event that has been gaining momentum in each of the last 20 years. Since that first golf outing in 1996, when the Bank made a small donation to the Licking County 4H Horse Council to last year when six local charities selected by the Bank collected a total of $30,000, Heartland has made benevolent donations of almost $449,000. Former recipients of funds from the Charity Golf Classic include Big Brother & Sisters of Central Ohio, Ronald McDonald House, March of Dimes, the Buckeye Ranch Foundation and Junior Achievement, among many others.
