Dr. Anne Duffus, DVM, is committed to providing comprehensive, quality care for each patient to enhance their well-being and quality of life. Dr. Duffus has been working in the field of veterinary medicine since 1986 when she started as a veterinary assistant/hospital manager of the Cat Hospital in Denver, Colorado. She began working at the Whitehall Animal Hospital in the summer of 1992 while a senior at OSU and shortly thereafter purchased the practice from the original owner in 1999.
As the sole proprietor of the hospital, Dr. Duffus is responsible for all aspects of her business. The hospital boasts complete surgical and dental facilities, a pharmacy, multiple exam rooms and a full in-house hematology and diagnostic laboratory where they obtain same day results on blood counts, chemistries, thyroid function and cortisol levels. They utilize the latest technologies and protocols in every area, enabling them to provide the highest quality care for every pet.
“We need to think outside the box and solve problems for people who can’t afford expensive animal care,” said Dr. Duffus. “We’re so happy to have a partnership with Care Credit, a veterinary financing program that helps families pay for annual expenses and some of the unexpected costs of owning a pet.”
When asked about her relationship with Heartland Bank, Dr. Duffus said “When I call the bank, I appreciate that a real person answers the phone, not a computer. One evening, I tried to make a deposit at my local branch, and due to a power outage, couldn’t get access to the Night Deposit box. One of the bank managers met me at the branch at 8:00 that night to help me. It was unbelievable.”
We hope to be seeing a lot more of Dr. Duffus when the Heartland Bank corporate center opens next year in Whitehall. As a result of slowly outgrowing our headquarters in Gahanna, the bank will be relocating to a six acre site along North Hamilton Road, at the gateway of Whitehall Community Park.
