Get Yer Motor Runnin' with Heartland Bank's "Biker Banker" Employee Spotlight

Saturday, January 24, 2015/Categories: Employee Spotlight

Kelli Hetrick-MashburnMany people might be challenged to think about their banker as a biker. But, here at Heartland Bank, we’re proud of our very own ‘biker banker’, AO, Assistant Branch Manager at the Wilson Road office, Kelli Hetrick-Mashburn. In her spare time, Kelli enjoys riding motorcycles and was one of nearly 2,500 bikers at the 2014 Highway Hikers Toy Run. The proceeds from this charity ride support almost 2,000 underprivileged children in nearby Clark County.

Kelli is an effective leader, respected colleague and self-motivated member of the Heartland Bank team and she spends her work days opening and maintaining deposit and loan accounts, helping the CSR line when needed and providing excellent customer service. According to Scott McComb, Chairman, President and CEO, “Kelli consistently delivers client satisfaction to the clients in the Heartland family. Shifting back and forth between Dublin and Wilson Road, she never missed a beat. Our clients regularly ask for her by name.”

The Quality and Excellence Award has been a tradition at Heartland Bank since 1994 and many of our employees proudly wear the pin each day that signifies that honor. Employees that have been given this award were chosen based on excellent customer service, being an example of a team player, helping other employees and exceeding the expectations of their job duties and responsibilities. After joining the bank in November of 2005, Kelli was proud to have been presented with the Quality and Excellence Pin in September of 2006. To her, it means “giving the best personal service I can to all new and existing clients and co-workers.”

“At Heartland Bank,” Kelli said, “you are more than just a number. We call you by name when you walk into any of our offices and we enjoy getting to know both the customer and their families on a personal level. We treat you like our own family.”

After growing up in West Virginia, she split her time between Las Vegas and Biloxi, Mississippi before moving to Columbus after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. She and her husband are looking forward to celebrating his retirement this winter with a cruise and will also continue their tradition of traveling to Florida to visit three of their four children (and six of their seven grandchildren) that live in the Sunshine State.

It’s people like Kelli that allow Heartland Bank to give such first class customer service day in and day out. Congratulations Kelli! Ride on in to your nearest Heartland Bank location (including our newest office in Pickerington) and let us treat you like family too!
