If you ask Vice President, Commercial Lender Stuart Schloss about his goals for the future, he might mention something about retiring to a Caribbean island. The avid outdoorsman enjoys mountain biking, kayaking, SCUBA, archery, camping and hiking, just to name a few of his “in my spare time” pursuits. But before he buys a one way ticket to an ocean paradise, he’s working toward an even loftier goal: to help launch Heartland Bank into a billion dollar financial institution. Pretty impressive aspirations for both his personal and professional life.
Stuart joined Heartland Bank as an entry level Commercial Loan Processor at the Stygler Road branch in December of 2005. In his current position as VP Commercial Lender at the Gahanna branch, Stuart works on commercial loan production, portfolio and relationship management. Chairman, President and CEO Scott McComb said, “Stuart is a true team player that helps his clients and co-workers by seeking out the needs of his clients and providing solutions through his team. His speed to market out paces most and the big winner is his clients."
The Quality and Excellence Award has been a tradition at Heartland Bank since 1994 and many of our employees proudly wear the pin each day that signifies this honor. Employees that have been given this award were chosen based on excellent customer service, being an example of a team player, helping other employees and exceeding the expectations of their job duties and responsibilities. Stuart was proud to be presented with the Quality and Excellence pin in July of 2007. To him, it means “routinely and unexpectedly exceeding customer expectations and typical banking standards.”
