Congratulations to Linda Chime - December's Employee Spotlight

Saturday, December 20, 2014/Categories: Employee Spotlight

Employee SpotlightThis month’s employee spotlight features the Croton branch office Assistant Manager, Linda Chime. While she started her career in banking at another financial institution in 1979, we’ve been fortunate that the last fourteen years have been right here at Heartland Bank. As an assistant manager, Linda’s main responsibilities include helping customers with their financial needs and goals. She said, “I help people with anything from making a deposit or opening an account to assisting them with a lot or car loan.”

The Quality and Excellence Award has been a tradition at Heartland Bank since 1994 and many of our employees proudly wear the pin each day that signifies this honor. Employees that have been given this award were chosen based on excellent customer service being an example of a team player, helping other employees and exceeding the expectations of their job duties and responsibilities. Linda was proud to be presented with the Quality and Excellence pin in August of 2001. To her, it means “helping clients and co-workers alike. Being efficient, going above and beyond when needed and getting the job done the right time.”

Linda ChimeLinda and her husband have been married for 34 years and enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors. She enjoys gardening and cooking and in her spare time, supports the Hartford Library with book donations and as a volunteer with their annual “Movie Night on the Square”. Along with her Heartland Bank co-workers, she also volunteers each year at both the Hartford Fair and the Johnstown Fireman’s Festival.

Heartland Bank Chairman, President and CEO Scott McComb said, “Linda is a real team player for Heartland and is willing to move her talents where we need them the most, whether that be the Johnstown or Croton offices. She goes the extra mile for all of her clients, and they seek her out on a regular basis to get counsel and services at Heartland.” Linda believes that Heartland Bank is very dedicated to their customers and the communities they live in. “These days,” Linda said, “there is a bank on every corner and when a customer chooses Heartland Bank, they are choosing us, the employees. They are the reason we’re here!”

It’s people like Linda that make Heartland Bank the place “Where Banking Feels Good”. Congratulations Linda! Stop in and see her at our Croton office today!
