Heartland associates are proud to tell the Heartland story – how the bank grew from servicing a small farming community, to the Central Ohio area and now the Northern Kentucky market. They are even more excited to explain how their career intertwines with Heartland’s success story dating back nearly 110 years. Michelle Haslinger passionately shares the highlights of her career over the last two years as she looks to the future to tackle even more rewarding projects and challenges.

Heartland Bank is fortunate to have associates that are career bankers. They know what they want, they are confident in their positions, and they are committed to their clients. These associates usually have been placed in many roles within the banking industry over the years giving them the opportunity to know their niche. Associates like Sarah Hitchens, Heartland’s operations payment specialist, often join the Heartland family knowing exactly where they can make the greatest impact for themselves and the bank.

A community bank banks on a strong community presence. When the associates at a community banking institution spend their entire lives in the communities in which they work, strong commitments are formed, and associates feel uniquely tied to the people they serve. Heartland Bank has many associates with this level of commitment and living in the Central Ohio area her entire life, Katie Ridgway is the perfect example of a community-minded associate and Heartland advocate.

This month’s Employee Spotlight features another effective leader and respected colleague of the Heartland Bank team, our VP, Commercial Relationship Manager at the Stygler Road office, Kelly Law. A proud graduate of Miami University with an MBA from Capital, he works hard as an advisor for local businesses with respect to their commercial financial needs. He joined the Heartland Bank team in October of 2012.
