Brewing up Some Fun at the 2015 Ohio Craft Brew Festival

Sunday, September 6, 2015/Categories: Community

Heartland Bank is proud to sponsor the tenth annual Ohio Craft Brew Festival, September 11 and 12 at the North Market in Columbus. The two day festival – one of the largest fundraisers for the North Market Development Authority, the 501©3 organization that runs the daily operations of the North Market – will showcase 17 Ohio breweries this year.

From north to south and a whole lot of central Ohio, the North Market brings Ohio’s craft brewers to Columbus to share their wares! The North Market hosted Columbus’ first all-Ohio-brewed craft beer festival in 2006 with six capital city breweries sampling their locally brewed beers inside the market building. Each subsequent year, they’ve added more breweries and this year (their 10th) will welcome 17 (seventeen) breweries. Admission to the event and accompanying North Market activities is free. Beer tasting admission is $30 at the door or $25 online (before September 8) and discount coupons for $2 off ‘at the door’ admissions are available at all Heartland Bank locations. Admission includes a commemorative pint glass, ten tasting tickets and a $5 North Market food certificate. Additional tasting tickets will be available on-site for just $1.00 each.

The seventeen breweries invited to the festival this year are - Great Black Swamp Brewing Co., Toledo; Great Lakes Brewing Company, Cleveland; Gordon Biersch Brewing Company, Columbus; Barley's Brewing Company, Columbus; North High Brewing Company, Columbus; Elevator Brewing Company, Columbus; Wolf's Ridge Brewing Co., Columbus; Seventh Son Brewing Co., Columbus; Four String Brewing Co., Columbus; Hoof Hearted Brewing, Marengo; Rockmill Brewery, Lancaster; MadTree Brewing, Cincinnati; Land-Grant Brewing Co., Columbus; Rhinegeist Brewery, Cincinnati; Christian Moerlin, Cincinnati; Lineage Brewing, Columbus; and Jackie O's Pub & Brewery, Athens.

In addition to the tastings, there will also be entertainment on the Great Black Swamp Brewing Company Stage.
