Amanda Beavers is the behind-the-scenes force tasked with ensuring operational success at all of Heartland Bank’s 15 branches. Starting at Heartland just over two years ago as an Assistant Manager at the Grove City location, Amanda is now the bank’s Retail Operations Manager. Her days are packed, her weeks are long, and she wouldn’t have it any other way!
“We care about what our clients care about - community and family. We treat every customer as an individual, not a number. We know that everyone’s needs are different and putting a personal touch on each and every client relationship is what makes banking with us such a better experience. It also doesn’t hurt that we are just simply the best,” acknowledged Amanda as she explained why customers should choose Heartland over another bank.
Amanda’s responsibilities often include coaching, applying and explaining policies and procedures, and contributing to the operational soundness of our branch network for strategic growth and overall efficiency. She doesn’t speak of individual achievement, rather team collaborations and departmental support that contributes to her success with her professional goals.
“Forget everything you know about banking. Heartland is so much more than just a bank. We are family. I’ve never worked for a company that cares so much for its associates. As a Heartland employee, there is a sense of pride and passion in everything that we do. We are involved in every part of the communities that we serve, making sure that we never lose touch with our values and the issues that help us focus on what matters most. These communities are not only where we serve our customers, but also the places that we call home. That is why Heartland Bank is such a special place.”
Amanda received the Quality and Excellence award in April of 2018. Heartland Bank awards nominated associates semi-annually with the Quality and Excellence Award. This award is given to team members who have displayed outstanding qualities in their daily work. Each recipient is nominated solely by their fellow associates. Amanda believes that integrity, loyalty and honesty are what directly impacts this award as these are also part of the Heartland Bank Shared Values. Amanda leads by example – displaying these traits whether in front of customers or working with her team members.
Ultimately, she does try for a work/life balance by volunteering at her church, helping with school events and running the kitchen for bingo at the school. “My husband, Jeremy, and I have four children. Our oldest daughter is 11 going on 21, our twin girls are 4 and are ruled by their younger brother who just turned 3. So, life outside of work is busy, but wonderful! I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Amanda has definitely emerged as a Heartland cheerleader – attending weekend events and evening functions to support the communities that Heartland serves.
